Professional Attributes & Work Conditions

When considering a career as a professional makeup artist, applicants should be aware of the necessary professional dispositions and industry demands. Makeup Artists work unconventional hours. Physical stamina is important. In Film and TV, many jobs demand long hours standing and sometimes working in less than ideal conditions. Manual dexterity is necessary for precision when applying makeup. Individuals should be aware of any product sensitivities or allergies that may prevent them from working in Special FX.
