This program includes terminology, set protocol and etiquette. Students learn script breakdown, continuity, and the skills to transform an actor into whatever character the script requires. Character makeup includes aging, injury simulation, bald caps, facial hair application, and prosthetic appliances. This program is consistent with the criteria required for membership in the major makeup artists film unions. |  BEAUTY - FASHION - 315 clock hours With specific media makeup artist training and a first class portfolio, you can work in the fashion industry. Designers launch seasonal collections and fuel the world of fashion and beauty. This class explores the intricacies of this work. To work with models, photographers, and designers, you need specialized skills: set etiquette, lighting, industry knowledge, product knowledge, and the makeup techniques to do makeup for print ads, catalogs, fashion magazines, and runway shows. Numerous photo sessions will help you to begin building a diversified fashion portfolio. Graduates get the chance to work on Miami's top fashion shows. | |  BEAUTY 300 clock hours This program also called the "Freelance Makeup Artistry Program" will prepare you to work as a freelance artist doing makeup for weddings, pageants, teen events, dance competitions, glamour shots, and other special events. If you want to start your own makeup studio or work in a retail environment, you will learn the business and marketing skills to be successful. Students' work is captured in four photo sessions as they begin building a winning portfolio.

This program prepares students to work as facial specialists in spas or doctors’ offices. It also provides a basic foundation in skin care for working makeup artists and satisfies the licensing requirement for freelance artists practicing in Florida. The program covers the knowledge, theory, and hands-on procedures needed to perform skin care treatments. skin sciences, facial massage and treatments, waxing and other hair removal, basic makeup artistry, and business development.
