History

Cosmix was founded in 1997 to meet the growing demand for make up schools for serious artists. The school's founding philosophy was a commitment to educational excellence and began by assembling a staff of top working makeup artists. Cosmix is a post-secondary vocational school licensed by the Commission for Independent Education under the Florida Department of Education. License  #3170. We are a member of the Florida Association of Postsecondary Schools and Colleges.

Purpose

It is our mission to create highly technically trained professional makeup artists to work in various careers in the beauty, fashion, and entertainment industries. By providing the finest makeup artistry training, we qualify makeup artists for jobs ranging from simple beauty to the more complex artistry of special effects. We are committed to the evolution of every artist's individual style and the creation of well-rounded makeup artists who excel in their chosen specialty.

Students first master fundamental skills then go on to experience what it is like to perform in various medias: film, television, print, music videos, and runway. Our teachers are skilled industry professionals who, through our makeup artist training, share their “real world” experiences, their skills, trade secrets and styles with ceaseless passion.
