History

Cosmix was founded in 1997 to meet the growing demand for make up schools for serious artists. The school's founding philosophy was a commitment to educational excellence and began by assembling a staff of top working makeup artists. Cosmix is a post-secondary vocational school licensed by the Commission for Independent Education under the Florida Department of Education. We are a member of the Florida Association of Postsecondary Schools and Colleges.

Purpose

It is our purpose to teach contemporary makeup artistry to both beginners and experienced makeup artists. In our beginning program, students master fundamental skills and experience what it is like to perform in various medias: film, television, print, music videos, and runway. As a school of makeup artistry, our goal is to create well-rounded makeup artists who excel in their chosen specialty. Our teachers are top industry professionals who, through makeup artist training, share their “real world” experiences, their skills, trade secrets and styles with ceaseless passion.

Our commitment as a team is to exceed our student's expectations and encourage the evolution of every artist's individual style. Our makeup artist school graduates realize their dreams and develop lucrative careers in our industry.
