When you take our Program, you study under a team of professional artists, not just one!

You will learn runway makeup from the lead artist at Fashion Week in South Beach.
Film & television makeup is taught by Artists who have years of experience working on major films and have nominations for both a Cable Ace & Emmy Award in “Outstanding Achievement in Makeup”.

 

Susan Naumiec Dishler is a seasoned makeup artist and instructor in all aspects of professional makeup artistry. She studied artistry at the Berger Institute of Production Technology in Miami, Florida. For over 20 years she has worked in the cosmetic industry. She has been a freelance artist for over twenty companies, an international trainer for major retail lines and worked with celebrities in commercial, print/photography, runway, film and television. Her professional credits include: Home Shopping Network, Windjammer Cruises, Beefeater, Elle, and Premier Bride Magazine. Her more than twenty years of real-world experience in all phases of makeup artistry makes her the ideal makeup schoolinstructor of our Fundamental Makeup Technique Course providing each student with a strong foundation in essential skills.

Erin Koplow works in film & television. She began her makeup artist training at the Houston Grand Opera and went on to study at the Institute of Studio Makeup in Hollywood, California. She worked under Oscar- winning makeup artist Rick Baker. Since her return to Florida in 1991, Erin has both taught at our school of make up and continued to flourish in the entertainment industry working on such projects as, “Something about Mary”, “The Waterboy", Tom Hank’s series, “From the Earth to the Moon” and “2 Fast, 2 Furious”, “CSI Miami”, and "Burn Notice". She has worked with many famous faces including Adam Sandler, Johnny Knoxville, Tara Reid, Christina Applegate, Tim Allen, and Kathy Bates, She has been nominated for both an Emmy and Cable’s Ace Award for “Outstanding Achievement in Makeup”.

Marietta Carter-Narcisse is a celebrity makeup artist and internationally renowned educator.
She began her career in the fashion industry in the early ‘70s in NY. By 1983, she was an assistant wardrobe stylist on the Commodores’ European Tour and toured with Natalie Cole.She went on to work on many hit music videos, commercials, award-winning television shows and films. Her film credits include: Old Dogs,Baby Boy, The Negotiator, The Red Violin, Sphere, Eve’s Bayou, The Long Kiss Goodnight, A Time to Kill, Strange Days, Tina: What’s Love Got to Do With It?, Malcolm X, Boyz ‘N The Hood, Ghost, and numerous others. A respected expert in her field, Carter-Narcisse has been interviewed by Vogue, Glamour, Premiere, Seventeen, & other magazines, radio and television shows and newspapers. She has also written numerous articles for industry magazines, reference books,and several internet sites. See Credits>>
Jay Cannistraci, a graduate of Westmore Makeup School of Hollywood, California, is a renowned stage, screen and television makeup artist. His 40 year career has spanned many aspects of the film industry including governmental work for the U.S. Army and Navy. For Jay’s work with the government he earned confi dential and secret clearance from the FBI and Secret Service. Jay received two (2) Emmy nominations for his artistry in TV’s George Washington mini-series. Additional screen credits included Miami Vice, Biloxi Blues and Turk 182. Jay is a member of the National Academy of Television Arts and Science and the International Alliance of Theatrical, Stage and Motion Picture Employees (IATSE).See Credits>>

Nadine Chiasson received her B.A. in Education from Moncton University in Canada. She went on to study classical ballet and acting under Stewart Soloman and at the University Center of the Performing Arts in Florida. She is a graduate of the Production Makeup Artistry Program from Cosmix School of Makeup Artistry and now teaches at the Fort Lauderdale school. Nadine works as a freelance makeup artist for photographers, fashion shows, and concerts. She has been lead artist for the last 3 years at Miami Fashion Week. She currently works for a satellite news network and her work can be seen on MSNBC, Fox News, and CNN. She is fluent in English, French and basic Italian.

Shirrita Szczesny is a licensed cosmetologist with over 30 years of experience in the beauty and fashion industry. She has specialized in hair styling for bridal and special events and hair extensions. She was featured on The Learning Channel’s “Make Over Story” and the “Wedding Story”, and has also been a featured stylist in both “People” and “Style” magazines. She has been the lead hair stylist for runway shows for Nicole Miller, Betsy Johnson, Versace, and Valentino. She works with celebrities and high profile clients. She toured with Aretha Franklin and recently was the personal stylist for Bryant Gumble’s wedding. She currently travels as a freelance stylist for private clients.
Keegan Hitchock is a face and body artist with more than 12 years experience. Her career began with face painting, continued on to stage makeup followed by full body painting, airbrushing, high fashion and horror special effects makeup. Keegan has attended and worked at countless face and body workshops and trade shows around the country. Along with instructing others in the art of body painting she currently works as a freelance body artist for runway shows, commercial ads, music videos, and other special events.


Rachelle Hagenauer is a licensed skin care specialist and makeup artist. She trained at the Florida College of Natural Health and is a graduate of Cosmix. She owns a makeup studio and skincare clinic, where she specializes in airbrushing and custom blending. She has worked with celebrities and models on videos, runway shows and print. Her mastery of airbrushing and her skill in bridal technique help her create the “Picture Perfect Look” for many south Florida brides. She conducts one-on-one training in airbrushing in English or Spanish.

Amy Pearman is a professional make-up artist and talented artisan of various mediums. She has grown a successful freelance business in the South Florida area for ten years. Her skillful brush technique and color detail has made her artistry sought after by many socialites and given her the opportunity to work with organizations such as The National MS Society, JAFCO, and The American Cancer Society. In addition to her freelance experience, Amy represented MAC Cosmetics for several years as a retail manager and artist.
