Who Are We?

Makeup schools vary in their focus. Retail companies and cosmetology schools offer basic makeup training that qualifies an individual to work at a retail counter in a department store or salon. In-depth technical makeup training is necessary if you want to pursue a career as a Multi-Media Makeup Artist and work in the Entertainment, Fashion and Beauty industries. We are a technical institution- a school of makeup artistry for fashion work and a special effects makeup school or other advances training institution. Our graduates work in such diverse areas as working with musicians on videos; collaborating with photographers and models for magazines or runway shows; freelancing special events such as weddings; and working with actors and celebrities for film, television or the stage.

The faculty and staff at our school of makeup are extraordinary. You will experience the various styles and techniques of award-winning working artists who are dedicated to excellence in their craft.

Airbrushing is one of our specialties, a skill not widely taught in the makeup classes at other schools. At Cosmix, you will master this important skill under the guidance of a very seasoned airbrushing artist. Film & Television makeup artists have been airbrushing for over a decade. It is the preferred technique for both digital and high definition television.
