Course Description

Cosmix is hosting Joann Faas from Global Beauty Institute. JoAnn has over 25 years in the beauty industry and is licensed as an esthetician in New York, New Jersey, and Florida. She has 15 years of specialized clinical esthetics experience. She has attended prestigious schools such as the Danton Production School in California, where she studied glamour makeup techniques, and the Derma Med Institute where she mastered Micropigment-Implantation Permanent Makeup Procedures. As a National Educator and a 9-year certified trainer for the Society of Permanent Cosmetic Professional (S.P.C.P.), JoAnn participates in trade shows and other industry seminars. She is also an active member of both the National Coalition of Estheticians and the Society of Permanent Cosmetic Professionals.This course teaches permanent makeup procedures to individuals who wish to become permanent makeup professionals. The training of procedures such as Shaded Eye Brow, Digital Micro-Blading, Defined Eye Liner, Eye Liner Enhancement. In definition, the procedure of permanent makeup refers to the placement of pigment just below the epidermal layer of the skin.

Program Objectives
After completing this program, you should be able to:
  • Implement proper sanitation and sterilizations procedures for the procedure room;
  • Understand state laws and regulations as they apply to permanent makeup;
  • Properly match pigment colors to the client’s skin tones;
  • Choose the proper needles for the procedure and properly handle the permanent-make-up machine;
  • Properly select the types of products to use/ apply both before and after administering a procedure;
  • Recognize contra-indications for services and respond to the potential client accordingly;
  • Implement the proper precautions to follow before, during and after administering a service; and
  • Artistically design, and apply, the appropriate (a) eyebrows for various facial shapes; (b) eyeliner for each particular eye shape
